Host your party or special event in a Baltimore City park
Thank you for your interest in hosting your event in one of Baltimore City's parks. Whether you have hosted an event with us before or if you’re planning a new event, we welcome you and would like to introduce you to the Permit Process and Applications. The City of Baltimore requires a permit for organized use of property that is under the jurisdiction of the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks. Permits will only be issued to persons 21 years or older with a valid photo ID. Only completed applications with application fees will be accepted. Please review the necessary documents required for each individual permit before submitting.
Permit Application Process
Effective January 1, 2015, all applicants for permits to hold events that will be open to the general public will apply at the City’s Special Events Office in the Abel Wolman Building located at 200 N. Holliday Street on the 1st floor at counter 4. Applications must be received at least six-eight weeks in advance of your event date and will only be accepted in person (no mailed, emailed or faxed applications will be accepted). To reserve one of Baltimore City’s beautiful park picnic areas and pavilions for your private event, please complete and submit the application for your event found here along with a non-refundable application fee no less than 30 days prior to your event to:

To reserve a park athletic field, please read the guidelines for field use and complete the field use application found here. These applications may also be submitted to the Recreation and Parks Office at the address above or may be emailed to [email protected].
The Permits Office is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. We are closed to the public on Thursdays to process applications. Application fee and area/impact fees may be paid by credit card, money order or certified check. No cash or personal checks are accepted.
