150 Trees For 150 Years

October 16, 2010 is the 150th anniversary of Druid Hill Park, the 3rd oldest large park in the country after Central Park and Fairmont Park. To honor this occasion, TreeBaltimore and the Friends of Druid Hill will plant 150 trees near the Zoo Mansion House, the original mansion from the estate. Donations for the purchase of trees, gator bags, small fencing and maintenance can be directed to the Friends of Druid Hill Park. friendsofdruidhill@gmail.com or www.druidhillpark.org.

Tree Master Plans For Major Parks

The Department of Recreation and Parks recently completed tree master plans for some of our large parks including Clifton, Druid Hill, Carroll, Herring Run, Patterson, Farring Baybrook and Joseph Lee. The master plans are being used to provide direction for ongoing tree selection and placement.
