CYLBURN ARBORETUM

Located in northwest Baltimore City, Cylburn Arboretum offers nearly 200 acres of serene public garden space with premier gardens, an extensive tree collection, wooded trails, production greenhouses, and multiple buildings offered for public use through our rental program.  

  • The Vollmer Center is a modern industrial green space with neutral wall tones and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. It seats up to 150 guests for events ranging from weddings to galas, fundraisers to birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and corporate events. This building has a green roof, a built-in composting system, heats and cools using a geothermal system. AV is available for an additional fee.

  • The Cylburn Mansion is original to the property built-in 1863. This historic building offers charm and architectural detail that take visitors to another place and time.  It seats up to 62 guests and is used often for showers, weddings, and fundraising events

  • The Greenhouse Classroom is situated next to our production greenhouses with a small gravel patio for outdoor entertaining. It can accommodate up to 32 people classroom-style to 50 people maximum. This space is used often for corporate and community meetings, lectures, and classes as well as showers and birthday parties. AV capabilities are coming soon.

  • Outdoor garden space can accommodate up to 150 people, available for both ceremonies and tented wedding receptions only.

HOWARD P. RAWLINGS CONSERVATORY

Located in Druid Hill Park, the Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offer a lush, intimate, and magical plant-filled experience for you and your guests.

  • The South Pavilion can accommodate up to 30 people and is available for rent during the day 8-4 PM Wednesday-Sunday.  The space has built-in planters with climbing vines that stretch to the ceiling. Mimicking the original Palm House, the glass panes and arched windows offer guests a feeling of historic charm and serenity as it looks out over the formal gardens.

  • The H.P. Rawlings Conservatory in its entirety is available in the evenings, 3-10 PM, Wednesdays-Thursdays, 3-12 AM, Fridays, 4-12 AM on Saturdays, and 4-10 PM on  Sundays. This space is best suited for small seated events under 60 guests. There is also an opportunity to host an outdoor tented reception in conjunction with the Conservatory rental that, together, can accommodate up to 100 guests.

BALTIMORE ROWING & WATER RESOURCE CENTER

The beautiful waterfront facility is conveniently located near the Inner Harbor, in the heart of Middle Branch Park, Baltimore’s “Natural Waterfront.” The 150-acre park offers a clear view of the City’s skyline.  The Baltimore Rowing & Water Resource Center provides an ideal space for celebrations of all kinds.  Our dedicated staff will work with you to determine the best floor plan and accommodations for your event.

SPECIAL FACILITY RENTAL FAQ

  • Payments can be made by credit card, cashier's check or money order. Cashier's checks and money orders should be made payable to 'Director of Finance'.
  • Security deposit ($1,000.00) must be made within ten (10) business days of the request to secure the reservation unless otherwise stated. The remainder of the fees are due 60 days prior to the date of the event.
  • Set-up and clean-up time should be included in the rental time.  Please plan to arrive and depart promptly. This includes all vendor functions.
  • Set-up, break-down, and clean-up are the responsibility of the client however, this is typically a function handled by your caterer or decorator. Please be sure to discuss this service with your vendors ahead of time.
  • Street parking and parking lots are available for your guests at all of our locations.  Please talk to the Rental Coordinator at your preferred venue to discuss any limitations or details regarding vendor drop-off or guest shuttling options.  
  • Kitchen space is available at most of our venues however cooking is not allowed inside any BCRP buildings.  There are dedicated areas where cooking is allowed outside of each of our facilities. Please discuss options with the Rental Coordinator for your preferred venue.
